The lockdown can affect the way we look at ourselves, how we feel in our body and how we think of the days ahead and life! These days might not feel like the most positive days but a good health will always keep you stronger and more positive! I am sharing here a couple of gentle guidelines that should keep you going during those tough days.
THINK OF 5 THINGS THAT ARE BEYOND YOUR CONTROL. This will help you understand that by letting go of the things you can’t control, they won’t stress you anymore If you can write them down, even better!
They are key for your mental health and please don’t stay in your PJs all day and delay your shower. I can’t tell how much the start of the day sets its tone. Most importantly, train yourself on NOT hitting the snooze anymore. It is really bad for you and will make your body and mind enter into an anxious state of waiting for the next alarm. We don’t want that!
Every single night, start something nice around 7pm! This is your non-negotiable self-love and boost It can be preparing food for dinner with your family/flat-mates, or trying homemade spa, reading a few pages from a book, making a video call with friends, doing a joyful movement, or listening to a song you love on repeat!
This is one of the best self-care routines, during times when our bodies move less. However, our bodies need movement in order to feel less anxious and hence respond to stress much better. Even a 10 min gentle joyful movement can be a savior! It will reset you, and keep your organs happy and healthy! It makes you happier and more positive
PLAN AN EVENING HOME RITUAL:
Life is offering us this, now more than ever. So try a guided meditation, go back to your prayers or make them longer. Sit still, and be with your breaths. Let the thoughts come then go. This will remind you of how to connect to your inner peace before you go back to the crazy life.
HAVE 5 MIN OF COMPLETE SILENCE, EVERY SINGLE DAY:
They are not under your control, they are endless and a bit dramatic. Being locked down in the house should not be a time to hear more news but rather to create your own home, your own world of peace in such tough times
DON’T BINGE ON THE NEWS PLEASE:
