GROWING YOUNGER!

Ever heard of the Natural Botox?

Benefits Of Collagen Powder By Health Expert Tamara Qaddoumi

The Fountain of Youth has been discovered! It’s hidden in collagen powder, your new best friend. Let’s find out more about what collagen is and how it benefits you.

What is collagen?

Simply put: collagen is the glue holding your body together. It is the most abundant group of proteins found in connective tissue, such as skin and cartilages. It helps provide structure to your bones, muscles, joints, and everything else.

There are at least 16 types of collagen in the body that benefit you from your hair to your toes! However, as you grow older, your body starts using more collagen than it produces. Some people prefer to follow grandma’s recipe and drink bone broth every once in a while to stock up on collagen, but broth does not contain enough collagen to sustain your body’s needs.

That’s where supplements come in. You can find collagen supplements in the form of pills, cream, or powder. Our resident health expert, Tamara Qaddoumi, uses and advises you to use collagen powder instead of pills because powder is absorbed into your system much quicker than any other form of supplements since you ingest it with your food or drink. The powder is mainly made from animal tissue, so vegans should steer clear of collagen.

Why is collagen good for me?

Here are some benefits of collagen powder:

  • Collagen rejuvenates the skin.

We have all heard about (or tried) facials that activate the collagen under the skin to rejuvenate the face. Collagen powder does the same thing, but from the inside out. It stimulates your body to produce its own collagen while smoothing out your wrinkles and reducing dryness.

  • Collagen reduces hair loss and strengthens nails.

You’ve always heard that hair and nails were connected, but how? It’s because they are made of the same protein. When you take vitamins to help your hair grow, you are also strengthening your nails. Collagen prevents brittleness in nails while helping both hair and nails grow longer and stronger, especially for women suffering from PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome).

  • Collagen relieves joint pain.

People suffering from or prone to arthritis, listen up! This is for you. Collagen maintains the health of your cartilage, the rubber-like tissue covering the joints between bones. By doing so, collagen helps relieve pain in your joints. A daily intake of collagen leads to lower inflammation, better support of your joints, and most importantly, reduced pain.

  • Collagen is rich in good fat.

Good fat is found in food like nuts and avocados, and bad fat is found in butter. Collagen is rich in good fats that may promote weight loss.

How can I consume my daily dose of collagen powder?

That’s a great question! You can consume it however you like. You love pancakes? Mix collagen powder in the batter. You drink smoothies daily? Add your collagen dose there. You can even add it to your fizzy vitamin C tablet. Tamara Qaddoumi explains that the best time to drink collagen powder is with your morning coffee. The collagen will turn your coffee into a superfood and help you stay energetic for a longer time by balancing the effects of caffeine with protein.

Don’t forget to check out our clean and trustworthy collagen powders! Make sure you consume between 2.5 to 5 grams daily, and in 8 short weeks, you will see and feel the difference.

She’s also shared a quick recipe for you to try out below!

COLLAGEN MORNING LATTE ☕️

-1 Cup of nut milk ( lately I’ve using homemade pistachio milk, delicious!)

-1 Scoop of collagen

-1 espresso shot/ 1/2 cup brewed coffee

-1/4 tsp cinnamon

-1/4 tsp vanilla

-Maple to sweeten (Optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Add in your milk, collagen scoop, cinnamon & vanilla to your milk throttle & press when ready.

In the meantime, make yourself a cup. I prefer using my espresso machine for this one.

Next, pour in your collagen milk into your coffee, allowing liquid to pour though, then froth following in the end, leaving a cloudy foam right above your cup.

Sweeten to taste and sprinkle with cinnamon powder on top!

Easy, fast, digestible & most importantly beneficially tasty!
